Have You Ever Visited Mount Rushmore in South Dakota?

I’ve been there twice. Once about 40 years ago and again about 16 years ago. Mount Rushmore is in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The sculptor was named Gutzon Borglum. After he died, his son, took over the project. We also visited the site where Chief Crazy Horse is being sculpted. That sculpture is still in progress. A lot of controversy surrounds both Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse project. You can google it for more information. Most Americans probably know or should know which FOUR U. S. Presidents are depicted on Mount Rushmore. I don’t know about persons in other countries. The four presidents whose faces are carved in the rock are: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. The faces are 60 feet tall and about 2 million tourists visit Mount Rushmore every year. I love the movie “North by North West” with Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint, which featured scenes on Mount Rushmore and the Visitor Center which I have been inside. Have you ever seen that movie? It’s an old movie (1959, I think) but it’s a GOOD movie. Very intense.
