All people have a birth date. Through the dates of our birthday, we know that we are growing by years. But how do you celebrate birthdays? Is it by a large party? Or a simple gathering with the family? Is it by a romantic date? Or just being contented by blowing the candles on your cake? Me? I always celebrate my birthday in a very simple way. There were times that I just cook one or two menu and shared it with the whole family. But there were times too, that I just had a cake for my birthday. How about you? Do you celebrate your birthday with a bang? Photo credit: pinterest.com

We usually celebrate birthdays simply. We just buy a winnowing basket of pansit or palabok(stir fried noodles) or spaghetti , to wish longer life and a cake or those ricecakes and roasted or fried chicken for the whole family to partake.

@magallon Actually , as long as the family is there to partake whatever simple foods there is for the occasion it will already be a very happy affair.

A red and white pasta for a week is the best suitable birthday present for me.

I celebrate it by working. I don't spend for it because I don't consider it a need.

Nowadays, we have to be practical. Simple celebration is just enough and we need not to spend too much money on our birthdays.

@skysnap I agree. A gathering with our family members is precious than money.

Sometimes, I am also thinking of having a somewhat big celebration, but on second thought , maybe I'll just be wasting money.
