why the engineering students are teased by everyone? / myLot

I am an engineering student.When i start a talk about engineering in a group at least one person in that group will tease me for studying the engineering.Why all these people tease engineering students?

No idea. I don't tease engineers or engineering students. Sometimes, people don't like smart students. Some didn't want me when I was still a law student. Be proud that you are an engineering student.

Why don't you ask the people themselves? We can't give a diagnosis from afar.

i asked many people. there response was, if you ask 10 people about there profession,at lest 7 will tell that they are engineers, and at lest 4 of them don't have a job, and at least 2 of them have supply. But is that a problem? I think every courses facing the same thing, but no one mention about that,then why engineering?
