What's your opinion on Lesbian?

Recently I knew one of my girl friend are Lesbian, she said she just loves women and doesn't have any interest in Men. While as her families knew this fact, things gone terrible. Her father said if she will be together with a Girl, then he will not be her daddy any more later. My friend is very sad and have no idea about this.
When she told me this, actually I support her, I do not show any discrimination on Homosexual, I sure that is true love.
But What can we do? In my country, most of people especially Previous generation, they can not accept that. In their's eye, Lesbian or Gay is ridiculous.
Now, I do not know what should I do to help my friend.

She needs your support right now, and what kind of a father she has acting this way simply because she's interested in the same gender. It's a shame really, I hope she can be with this girl and live a normal life regardless of her parents objection.

@Letranknight25 maybe right now, the father cannot accept the situation right now, but when time will come the father will accept the situation.

Here too , some parents don't like their sons and daughter as gays or lesbians . However , because it is already common nowadays , they just accept it though with aching heart since it's against their born beliefs and in the bible too .

@Bpowerful That is true . Some parents still are avoiding what others would say about their gay / lesbian children .

no matter lesbian or gay, happiness is most important to everyone. Just confused about one question: all the parents want their's kids be happy, but actually they hurt them in some degree. God bless all people~~~

@Bpowerful I think the best you can do for your friend right now is just be an ear to listen and shoulder to cry on. You can not force someone to accept something. Her dad needs to be the one to come to terms with it all. I'm very sorry for your friend. I can't imagine what it must be like to have your own parent disapprove who you are. Very sad.

It is the same in my country, Homosexuality is not widely accepted... though like you...I personally do not have a problem with it. Everyone is free to love how they wish to.
It is a difficult situation for your friend to be in...all you can do is be there for her through it all. Getting involved with her family might make things worse for her. I am sure your support will help her be strong through this decision.
