Do you cold brew your coffee?

Last summer, I discovered how easy it is to cold brew coffee. I had heard about this method for a while, but never actually tried it until then. Now, I can't believe that I waited for so long! It's dead simple and doesn't require any fancy expensive equipment. All you need is a mason jar, a strainer of some sort, some cheesecloth or a coffee filter, and patience. Add 1/2 a cup of coffee grounds to the mason jar, and fill it the rest of the way with water. Put the lid on, shake it up a bit, and then leave it on your countertop for 8-24 hours. Shake it some more whenever you think of it to make sure the grounds all get mixed up with the water and steep properly. When you're ready to strain the grounds, pour them through a strainer lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth (I put the strainer on top of a large Pyrex measuring cup). It might take a few hours to fully strain, so be patient. Once it finishes straining, put in a container of your choice and keep in the fridge. You can either drink this cold over ice or heat it up in the microwave to enjoy hot. It's a concentrated brew, so it's pretty strong. Feel free to dilute it to suit your taste.

I discovered ice coffee a few years back. I really like it especially through the warmer months when it is too hot to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. I like adding different flavours to it.

One thing I really like about this brewing method is it really improves the flavor of cheap coffee. It gives it more hints of caramel and makes it seem less acidic.
