why do rap songs have a lot of swear words.

For me I am not rally in to the rap songs but listen to them on slice of pie
a lot of the rap artist like to use swearwords. No matter what style music some in to if you are good I think you do not need swear words in your style of music. It like today movies. To many swearwords.

I have to agree with you on that one. There are so many good movies out there and they just ruin them with all the swearing. There were songs on Slice the Pie that I couldn't even listen to because I just found them so offensive. I really don't think they need to swear to get their message across.

My guess is in every generation there are things that are acceptable and unacceptable, not just in music and movies but also in fashion and habits just to mention a few its present everywhere but we just do not take notice
