Washington Nationals activate Stephen Drew and Stephen Strasburg on Wednesday

Taylor Smith reports the news on Wednesday the Washington Nationals have activated from the 15 day disabled list ace right handed starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg and infielder Stephen Drew. Strasburg had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on August 22 with a sore right elbow. Strasburg has recovered from his elbow injury in time to make his next starting pitching assignment on Wednesday when the Nationals host the Atlanta Braves at Nationals Park in Washington D. C. Drew had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on July 24 with an inner ear illness on his right ear that caused him to symptoms of vertigo. With the addition of Drew and Strasburg on the Nationals 40 man roster, the Nationals who are currently in first place in the National League East Division, their chances of making the playoffs have increased.
