Is your spouse your first love?

It's hard to forget the first love. I met my first love when i was still in collage, but unfortunately we coudnt be together as he had to marry another woman. It was really hard moment for me. And now, i meet new man in my life. He is kind and he understands me so well. I love him, but still sometimes i remember with my first love. What about you? Let's share here..

My husband was my first love as a woman. But I can still remember my first love at 7 years of age.

Yes, my husband is my first love, and my first boyfriend. We've been happily married for more than 25 years now.

I have the same story as you @Ayuriny. My bf for 8 years, and I, got separated because of work. He worked in the Middle east while I moved here to Australia. And then I learned that he cheated on me and nearly got her pregnant. It was very devastating at that time. But being with my present boyfriend has brought back so much joy to my life and I am ten times happier than I have ever been. Yes, at the time I was very very sad but knowing what I have now, I would never trade this for anything or anyone else. I am not married yet, so I really couldn't say I am correctly answering your question but I just thought we had the same experience so why not? :)

@Ayuriny Oh I hope so too. It's very hard to start all over again. And he is wonderful.
But then life has its surprises. When my 8 yr relationship failed, I have started telling myself that every failed relationship has a reason, is a saving grace, and is one step to finding the right one. Im not saying its easy when relationship ends but really what's not meant for you is bound to go.

My first love was way back in junior high school. Things didn't end well between us when he told his guy friends lies about us like guys sometimes do to look cool. He will always have a special place in my heart. We reconnected on Facebook and he apologized for the past which was sweet. He said he thought about it over the years and how badly he had hurt me back then. He said it really bothered him so he was glad was finally able to apologize. He is married now to the love of his life. They have been together for many years. I am engaged to be married to the love of my life. I was married before for many years but it wasn't a good relationship. I finally left and after being single for many years I met the man who is now my fiance online. We hit it off instantly and have been together for the past almost six years now.

I was in love and married before my current spouse, however, I was very young and dumb. It wasn't a healthy relationship and I wouldn't consider him my first 'real' love. I would consider my current spouse as my first real, true love. He is my best friend and we have a healthy relationship. I'm not sure I believe in soul mates per say, but I do believe everything happens for a reason and we're very good together. I could honestly see us together for life.
