Hi Mylot friends! Who among you loves to cook and what's your favorite dish? IAs for me, cooking is one of passion. Every weekend I cook for my family and it makes me giggle if they give compliments. My specialty Filipino dish is of "Adobong Manok" Chicken in Soy sauce and Vinegar with garlic and Chicken Curry. I learned this when I was 9 yrs old and perfected it when I was 15. I could cook a lot of dishes from poultry dishes, vegetable dishes to sea foods. How about you guys? What dishes do love to cook?

I love Adobo. I usually look at recipes when I cook, it is not really my passion but I enjoy it. I love cooking Beef with Brocolli. I always try to perfect that although beef is difficult to tenderize.

Yeah, it may not be a passion but it can be a hobby that you might enjoy. Yes beef is quite long to tender but try to slice the beef more thinner to make the tendering shorter. Just an idea. :)

Yes it's really fun, tiring but worth it.In sea foods, I only cook shrimps, crabs, and mussels that's the only sea food I know how to. It maybe fried, steamed, simmered. Depending on my mood. :p

@rairaianne14 I never found interest in cooking, but I don't why I enrolled in culinary.
I'm sure whatever course/degree you finished, you're going to succeed.
We'll just keep on aiming high!

Wow, how I wish I took HRM in my college. So I could have enhanced my skill in cooking.I tried baking brownies for the first time. It went well moist and quite crunchy on the outside. I like to cook Ginataang Gulay or Vegetables in coconut. Then fried fish yum yum!

I don“t use much curry or soy sauce as it is not in my culture. But I like it very much, so I could learn it. I love to cook!

Oh no problem. Ingredients are thigh and leg part of the chicken, whole black pepper, butter, minced garlic, soy sauce or (mama sitas bbq marinade sauce), vinegar and laurel leaves. After washing the chicken I put it on the cooking pan (kawali) together with all the ingredients except butter and the leaves. Then I marinate it I usually mix it up with my hands (so don't forget to wash hands first). Then I let it boil for a few minutes then put 1 spoon of vinegar and don't mix it up. The vinegar is not ready to mix in instant it needs to be boiled for 1 minute or more. Then on a separate pan I heat a pan with butter then put the chicken and the sauce on it. Let it stay for a while until it somehow becomes oily. Then it's good! Taste it. If you use soy sauce you could put 1 tsp of sugar to make it quite sweet. Try this and let me know if it taste good! :)

@rairaianne14 Wow, just reading on the ingredients assures me that this is delicious .
Anyway, i guess my previous mistake is mixing the vinegar as soon as i put it in the pan with the chicken marinade .
I will update you if ever i can cook this weekend. Thank you so much .

@SIMPLYD yeah those were the common mistakes we do mixing up the vinegar after we put it. I call it (hilaw) not ripe (just a term) when I mixed the vinegar upon putting it. Anyways sure Let me know if it taste good. Oh I prefer you use the bbq marinade sauce since it is available in sari-sari stores. :) Happy cooking!

Your chicken preparation just made my stomach rumble
I've not yet gotten into the cooking thing yet but I plan to do so in the near future. Till now, I've made Chicken in Hunan Sauce, Sweet and Sour chicken.
