Is accent important when a Chinese call an Englishspeaker

Is accent important when a Chinese call an Englishspeaker? Actually, I have no idea. Because once i make a phone call to an foreign people, they can hardly understand what i say. So i think mu Chinese accent is to blame.

It is not just a Chinese accent, I have some trouble understanding lots of people that have a foreign accent.

we all have different accents so, you should not blame yourself for misunderstandings..
