To cut out drywall ... manual vrs power saw ... Which is better?

Is an electric drywall saw better than a simple keyhole saw by hand with drywall blade? I ordered a Dewalt power saw for drywall yesterday and I hope it does what they say it can do. Cut out circles or squares and cut perfect lines in drywall. If I can practice on a left over piece of drywall, also called gypsum wall board, I can perhaps master the final cut that I need to replace several bad sections in our home walls and ceilings and cut out the middle man. I might have to invest however, in a 300 dollar lift to hold a large sheet to the ceiling and also get someone else to go up into the attic to remove the insulation above the bad sheets so less mess will fall to from up top. I do however think the key hole saw they make for basic board cutting like base boards and small boards around the home can be good in tight spaces to either cut base board and quarter round base board molding in a pinch. I really enjoy learning how to use power tools when i can afford to buy them. The thing is, I will have to start from scratch with my new Dewalt. Model information: DEWALT DW660 Cut-Out 5 Amp 30,000 RPM Rotary Tool with 1/8-Inch and 1/4-Inch Collets

That sounds like a good tool to have. I hope it all works out for you.

I also read about the tool and found out it also cuts through plywood. This will be very nice as an extra power tool for my tools collection. I build on it every other month or so. In time I will need to buy a new shed just to store it all in. lol.
