Food stamps go up....

So SSI is withholding some money from my sons checks now starting in October and I just got a hold of Food Stamps and they told me my food stamps will go up. I go from $76 to $109. Yeah! Better than nothing. That is $30 more. I can't wait lol. At least that is a little good news...

My husbands settlement for his arm affected my sons ssi so we have to pay back his back pay (my sons)

@carebear29 I´m glad your government can help you with this. Although I think that in my country food is not an issue as the climate is mild.

Yeah that is good news.That stinks they are holding money from your sons check. Hopefully this will not be a every month thing them taking this money out of his check.

I remember when my son was on SSI and we was on food stamps for awhile they would do that to us from time to time. I never understood it myself but at least it better than nothing and can make up for some of the shortage anyways.

@carebear29 I remember that also. They do sell some for 35 cents the double mint and juicy fruit gums are 35 cents. I just got a pack about a month or so ago.
