If your Boss pressure you to break up with your romantic partner

I decided to post this discussion because I think even people who are not wrestling fans would be able to relate. The Woman in the picture is Paige, She is one of the most popular female WWE wrestlers today. She have the Networth of $2.5 Million US dollars and she have an Annual salary of $190000, merchandise sales not included. Wrestling on WWE is her dream and her family's dream. She is from a family of wrestlers and she had been wrestling since she was 13 years old. WWE hired her when she was 19 and she became a star since then and now she is 24 years old. WWE is pressuring her to break up with her boyfriend, Alberto Del Rio. Her bosses wanted her to break up with him. WWE dont give a damn when she dated Rock band vocalist and a woman but they dont want her to date a 39 year old wrestler who is divorced because she is popular to little girls. She is not the only female wrestler who dated an older man but because she have a younger fanbase they want her to be a role model or something. They fired her boyfriend and they were pressuring her to break up with him or they will fire her. Part of me wanted her to stay on WWE because she is too talented to get fired but part of me knows she deserves happiness. If you are on her shoes, Would you break up with the person you love because your bosses pressure you to do so?

That is a tough one! Money or love? I would go for love but I would take my time and make sure that it was real love and reciprocal.

That is the risk, what if she throw away her career then suddenly realize he is not the one.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Very risky? I would find a way to keep things out of the limelight and squirrel some money away. But maybe she already has plenty of money and he is also rich?

It seemed like she will stand by him eventhough it means she will lose her high salary. I really don't know why her bosses interfere with her lovelife. I think even non famous people had been pressured to end their relationships. I know someone who is pressured to dumb his boyfriend so he can move to the overseas branch of the company.

Wow - well would it be legal of the WWE to do that - I can't imagine that they could fire her based on who she dates. But I am thinking they would give some other excuse why she was fired when/if she gets fired. I'd try to get the best of both worlds - keep the dream job AND the boyfriend somehow. Really it's none of the bosses' business . . . it makes the WWE seem like they have closed minds.

@CaptAlbertWhisker My g, she is very much an adult now - they need to let go on with her own life without forcing their selfish needs down her throat.

@much2say I think it sort of make sense she get attracted to an older guy because she have no childhood. She had been wrestling since she was 13. So she matured way too fast. I think that makes it easier for her to relate to an older man than a man her age who still have boyish tendencies.

She joined the company as a teenager, so they want her to be a teen idol of some sort. In their eyes a teen idol should not date a 40 year old. She is 24 years old already. I am sure she is experiencing what former teenstars and childstars experiences. The Public will never see them as adults.

@CaptAlbertWhisker That is also true with those love teams of celebrities . They are prohibited to be in love with others except their loveteam partner . Sad .

@SIMPLYD yeah I know many of our country's celebrities are miserable because of the "arranged marriage" they have to deal with.

HOLD UP! WAIT A MINUTE! I'M SEVERLY CONFUSED!!!!! Rusev and Lana can get engaged outside of work, no one bats an eye. But Paige dates Alberto Del Rio, and everyone loses their minds?! I need more informayion, because something's not adding up here.

Actually Lana almost got fired, She is almost about to have a super babyface push as a wrestler. that is why they paired her up to Ziggler. To stop that storyline, she and Rusev announced their engagement. Rusev actually experienced being buried and Lana is demoted into a valet again. I also remember WWE Pressuring Bobby Lashley to divorce Krystal because they dont like her and that causes his depush and release.

@Hanyouyomi lashley is happy in TNA he was a triple champion recently and he have a simultaneous MMA career as well. He is booked as a strong monster heel who is not cowardly.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Oh that's why Rusev got buried and Lana became a valet... THAT'S A LOAD OF HORSE APPLES! WTF WWE?! Because it makes no sense because in some cases they act like they care about the kayfabe, other times they don't and I just...Ergh... Then again I guess it's a good thing Daniel Bryan retired because he's married to Brie Bella, and I just--- This makes NO SENSE!!! And if being pressured to divorce someone they didn't like is why Lashely left then I no longer pity him for being in TNA. BECAUSE THAT IS STUPID!

I would choose love over money. They are both financially well off and don't need the WWE. It will be loss and the fans will be in an uproar. The fans need to voice their opinion loud and clear because they need their fan base. They should not even put them in that situation. If I was her I would just walk away and go live my life with the love of my life.

I really dont know why they oppose her from dating an older man, She is an adult. There are other female wrestlers who dates older men but they were not being interrupted just because they dont have a young fanbase.

@CaptAlbertWhisker it really shouldn't matter who she is with. That should not have anything to do with her career.

@Happy2BeMe Why dont they just book her as a villain in the scripted storyline so she wont be on the "teen role model" slot. I mean they already have Bayley and Sasha for that spot.

No and would sue but easy until your personal life gets brought in., Justice system is a joke. Great question that people should think about because this could happen to anybody, in some form.

I believe it happened in the corporate world before. I remember the story of the businessman who was asked by his invenstors to break up with his girlfriend because she doesnt look like an ideal trophy wife.

If I was in the situation, I wouldn't let my boss dictate my love life. As for the Paige and Del Rio situation, I heard a rumor the WWE was concerned because they thought Del Rio was a bad influence on her due to his hard partying. Although, I don't know how true that is.

In a way you might be right, She is the first woman to get suspended for wellness policy and that happened when she started dating him.
