September 9/11, where were you on that horrific, infamous day? What were you doing that day?

My husband and I and our friends were out making return visits on those whom we previously talked to concerning the Bible, when someone in our car group got a phone call from their relative in New York stating that one of the Twin Towers had been struck by an airliner and then a second plane struck the second Twin Tower!

We were gathered at home then as my sister-in-law who works in New York had come home for a vacation. While everyone was in a busy chatter while the TV was on, we were all shocked to see the live footages of the attacks. My sister-in-law cried as she viewed the horrible scenes.

I was in class when our history teacher came in, told us about it and then put the news on for us to see what was happening. Very tragic indeed. At the time I lived in NY still, we lived about an hour away from the towers. =(

Oh my goodness! An hour away from the Twin Towers attack! That's pretty close...What were you personally feeling while you watched the news? I know we were in utter shock and very sad too as we watched the afternoon and evening news replay over and over attacks on the Towers, the Pentagon and the airliner crash in a Philadelphia field. Imagine, it's unimaginable to me concerning those poor people on those airliners and their final last moments and thoughts! My heart goes out to their family and friends :(

@itslikethistome I was shocked and sad. Some of my classmates had family in those towers that they lost so they broke down in class. People were sad and scared. Some had to leave the classroom. It was awful. =(
