My daughter was home from school sick today

Last night my daughter said her throat was so sore it was hard to swallow. She had me up very late due to being constipated and afraid to go. I am exhausted and grumpy this morning. This morning after getting dressed for school her chest was really paining her. She said it hurt to breath. I figured either she has a sinus issue thats draining into her chest maybe turning in to bronchitis or she could have trapped gas from not going to the bathroom often enough. I couldn't send her to school in terrible pain holding her chest so I kept her home and took her to the doctor. She has an ear infection. Not bad but it is the first time she's ever had one. She was given zpack to take for 5 days. I hope her chest stops hurting soon or walking from class to class tomorrow will be quite hard for her.

did the doc pay any mind to her constipation? that can surely coz the chest pains 'n i wonder if'n she's jest not eatin' 'nough fiber/drinkin' 'nough water 'r what's goin' on there. i'd recommend her eatin' yogurt though while takin' those antibiotics. hope she feels better soon, though i aint so sure those antibiotics're gonna kick'n o'ernight.

She had constipaton chronically as a little girl. She saw a bunch of different doctors and laxatives for years. She was terrified of going after twice she had a problem and was taken to the ER. She gets one bout of constipation and that phobia comes back and she holds it in making things worse. Even with the antibiotic she isn't going I will have to give her a laxative today since all the added fiber isn't working. Its been years since she needed a laxative.

@crazyhorseladycx No even the specialists never ran any tests. I had chronic constipation until I was 12 then the exact opposite problem (without going into destail) until I was 20 and got preganat with my daughter. Finally my body seems to have calmed down.

Hopefully she was able to go to the bathroom so it would relieve some of the stress on her chest.

I don't think she did until the following day but she is better now thankfully. I just have to keep her going regularly.

One of my foster daughter had to be brought back from school. She got chest pain in the school. Probably, it was the food she ate yesterday in a place we were invited.

I hope she feels better soon. I hope the chest pains goes away. The doctor didn't say what was causing her chest to hurt?

He said her lungs are clear so I really have no idea what could be causing the pain :-( Maybe its just a pulled muscle or something.

I hope she feels better soon. The doctor said she can go to school tomorrow with an ear infection? My kids doctor told us when my daughter had one to keep her from other children for a few days.
