Are you astonished to see how people depict themselves in sites like LinkedIn?

Navigating through some profiles of friends in LinkedIn, I could not avoid to laugh. How does it come that Joe (not his real name) who's a car salesperson call himself "Business development Manager", and claims to sell both to private clients, companies and even the government? He hasn't sold any car to anyone who were not a private client, but hey, if companies or the gov would have wanted to buy used cars from him, he would have been more than happy to sell them. .

Been in the LinkedIn network for years. Most of the people who crossed my path were very professional. I have not any bad experience at all. I'm not astonished at how people present themselves. What astonished me when I found myself in the Top 25 LI Profiles for “home business”. P.S. I've never any dealings with anybody in the auto business.

I have LinkedIn account but not very active there. I am surprised when I received an email offering jobs relative to my experience while I am not looking for a job. LinkedIn find jobs for me
