Arizona Cardinals sign former Seattle Seahawks Cornerback Tharold Simon

Mike Florio reports the news on Wednesday the Arizona Cardinals have claimed off waivers former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Tharold Simon. Simon who was a fifth round draft choice of the Seahawks in the 2013 National Football League Draft out of Louisiana State University has only made five starts with the Seahawks during his time with the team. Simon was released by the Seahawks on Tuesday. The Cardinals are in desperate need for a cornerback since Mike Jenkins is not able to play football this year due to an ACL injury during training camp and rookie Brandon Williams did not play well in the first regular season game versus the New England Patriots in which the Cardinals lost by a final score of 23-21. Simon will likely be in the lineup next Sunday when the Cardinals will be hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
