My knowledge of Ethiopia is limited - it was very important to the early Christian church, and its leader for much of the 20th century was Hailie Salasse, who had to flee when Mussolini's forces occupied the country - then there was the terrible mass starvation crisis in the mid 1980's which led to the Band Aid and Live Aid charity relief campaigns and concert
