#6 in my Favorite Sitcom Characters belongs to That 70's Show's Red Forman, played by Kurtwood Smith.
Red Forman is Eric Forman's (Topher Grace) father. Red is a no nonsense antagonist, particularly when it comes to his son.
Red is a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War (he talks more of Korea.) He is a staunch Republican and extremely patriotic.
Red has little patience for Eric, constantly threatening to put his foot in Eric's posterior.
That 70's show ran for 200 episodes, from 1998-2006. Smith appeared in every episode. Red Forman was, as far as I'm concerned, the funniest character on a very funny show.

I liked the show, but it wouldn't have been the same if someone else had played Red.

@teamfreak16 Oh definitely not. He could pack so much sarcasm in one look. Half the time he didn't even have to say anything.

I've only seen a few episodes of this, though I did enjoy it. I just haven' had the time to finish watching it.

200 episodes would be a lot of watching.
