Teaching Our Children On U.S. A. Politics: 'A Bad Penny Always Turns Up'

September 19, 2016 9:58am CST
The present shake-up during the 2016 Presidential Election shaping up America's voice is wonderful to behold.  Nerve-racking, but life-changing movement, in my opinion. The Town Crier calls out for America's history-makers on regaining back greatness.  Such an exciting time in American history as it unfolds! In our homeschooling, every situation is an opportunity for object lesson. Lessons we live by. Guideposts we intentionally watch out for direction. With the 2016 U.S. of American elections, I follow the conservative news broadcasting on Fox News. Together, we study to point out who and what kind of a bad penny a candidate that says and/or pays to get votes, based on her/his deeds. And one that fights hard to compete, fair and square on the campaign arena-- for the good of all Americans, first and foremost. Our young learners on Current Events and History are aware that listening to each wannabe-president, they must sense the spirit of truth behind that person.  Accountability check on Mrs. Clinton and Mr Trump must be placed in proper order based on soul-searching conscience, facts and evidences. The right, honest coin will shine as gold. I'm not being superstitious.  But the way the electoral process and revelations are panning out, they are very revealing.  I tell my children the old saying my mother used to say, "That if you found yourself with a counterfeit or foreign coin, which is in your possession, and you hand it to someone and that coin goes around to strangers, the coin would eventually find its way back to you."  I'm not sure if that sinks in to be a warning of "do kindness and respect others as you would want them done to you.' That is reality check. Even in the midst of selfish, I-me-mine-myself mentality; the I-don't-care attitude. For instance, when I behave like a jerk-- a bad coin to others--my deeds will follow consequences to justify the truth to teach me. Most times, humility guarantees a welcoming change of hearts. I hope that happens every time. So, a closer intelligent scrutiny on each presidential candidate is crucial. Not just believing what the biased media says favoring an old bad penny against the other new gold coin.  So, what do you make of a bad penny? And a good penny on the 2016 U.S.A. Presidential Election?

You have four choices among these presidential hopefuls: Stein, Johnson, Clinton and Trump. Good luck!

@Hatley Good to practice your right of choice and to keep it a secret. MyLotters aren't mean spirited, which I find that a relief.

It would be really nice to see a shiny new penny in the political arena. So far they are both bad pennies and not to be trusted.

You have 51 more days til election day on 8th November. Perhaps, their first debate on the 26th September will help a bit regarding trust issues with the two candidates. I look forward to watching it, while praying in between breaks. :-)
