Just a Minute-Walk

It's 7:00 AM here in the Philippines. The sky is so dark and it's cold outside. Heavy rain is coming just like yesterday.
My youngest daughter is about to go to school now. Her school is just a minute-walk away but she doesn't want to walk, so she rides a tricycle and she does this everyday.
I told her it's a waste of money. She told me it's fine, since she always convince the tricycle driver that she will pay half of the minimum fare, anyway her school is just very near. Wise girl.

Your daughter is very wise, the trike driver will also be more than glad to take that money even half the fare if it is just near and along the way. It has also been raining very hard here since yesterday, it stopped but it's getting dark again

i'm not sure the tricycle drivers here in my part of metro manila will be as accommodating.

@hereandthere it's because money and opportunities in the provinces is harder to come by, that is why what is change here is valued more there, also cost of living in the provinces is lower so you could buy more with less money.

I am confused why is there a tricycle driver? Doesn't she just ride the tricycle?
