Jesse Borek reports the news on Monday the Colorado Rockies will not have the services of their first baseman Mark Reynolds who has a broken left hand that will place him on the shelf.
Reynolds suffered the injury on Sunday when San Diego Padres pitcher Jose Dominguez hit Reynolds with a pitched ball during the Rockies 6-3 win over the Padres at Coors Field.
The Rockies will go with Gerardo Parra as their first baseman for the remainder of the 2016 regular baseball season.
Reynolds who has a batting average of .282 during the current baseball season will become a free agent at the end of the baseball season.
It is possible that Reynolds could return to the team with a new contract or sign a new deal with another team in the Major Leagues that could use his services in 2017.

Me too since Reynolds had a very good year for the Rockies this year.

I think Reynolds may return to Colorado next season if he is a cheap salary.
