About this time of year is when I start planning how I am going to decorate for Fall. I typically put a little display, much like the photo; on my front deck. It's easy, fun, and inexpensive. I like to use gourds, pumpkins, sometimes a bale of hay, and a scarecrow, black cat, or jack-o-lantern. Anything you can come up with is sure to be great. A bale of hay with a scarecrow, a pumpkins witch like in the photo, a black cat creeping around the scarecrows feet, and a scattering of different colors and shapes of gourds would be an eye catching decoration. However you decide to decorate, have fun with it. Add your own personal touches. Do you decorate for Fall? Image from: pixabay.com/en/autumn-black-dark-decoration-fall-20461/

When we first moved south I decorated for fall like crazy - we got hay bails from the farmer across the road and we saved our corn stalks and all that jazz...one rain and the whole display looked awful. I will decorate my mantel and my hutch but as far as outdoor decorations, no more. No one could see them from the road anyway so I don't bother. I decorate inside for me.

@HazySue It's so hot that if I put a pumpkin outside it would bake.

@AbbyGreenhill I tend to decorate on the outside more than the inside.

@marlina I have noticed that more and more lately people seem to decorate less and less.

@ms1864 it does, I THINK THAT IS MOST LIKELY WHY I STILL DO A LITTLE BIT OF DECORATING OUTSIDE.

@Happy2BeMe I only do that one little display. I have seen people go all out and it really looks nice.

Put my autumn wreath out last week because for a brief moment, it felt like it. Then the heat and humidity came back. I have a small hay bale and pumpkin and scarecrow but they haven't made their way to the porch just yet. Perhaps this weekend. I think autumn and Christmas are the prettiest times to decorate. Have a blessed day friend

@Dena91 I think they are the best times to decorate too. I usually get the porch décor done in mid October and the Christmas done after Thanksgiving.

Those decorations look really pretty. I don't usually put up any autumn decorations but I do like to do a bit of seasonal crafting which might go on display if it works out right.
