India - Heavy Traffic - So much frustration - Waste of time - how to change it?

People in India knows about its Traffic system... How heavy is the traffic with huge population. No matter how good is the road system.. how much flyovers we have.. how many modes of commutation we have.. we still gets frustrated on road... be in in bus, train, car, cab, bike.. anything.. it will take hell lot of time to reach any place in India... and the travel time keep on increasing every day.. especially in Metro cities... Tell me how can we change it? ideas to change it...

People should use two wheelers more than four wheelers. Use 4 wheeler only when it is necessary and rest of the time use public transport or two wheelers , this will give roads some space and may reduce traffic congestion. The tier 2 cities where there are more two wheelers compared to 4 wheeler still have lesser roadblocks.

Same problem here in the Philippines. My daily travel to work which is only an hour and a half is now doubled. I need to wake up early and travel before 5am just to get to the office in time for my 8am work. Traffic is more stressing than my work. Some of the public officials here in the Philippines proposed the use of mass transportation instead of private vehicles. I dont know if this will be implemented soon but I think it can lessen the traffic even a bit.
