Mom is still in pain

Philippines

I am beginning to feel worried about her. Since that accidental bump on her shoulder, the pain hasn't subside despite of the docs check up. Not to mention, the driver who were supposed to sent her medication as he promised didn't keep his word. Then a couple of days ago, she went for a manicure on her toes, but the cleaner accidentally wounded her that caused serious infection. She bought medication , though she tells she's improving I still think she needs to back to the doctor. I've recently noticed how old she has become from the time to time. But despite of that, she takes time to do her thing and leaves the house for her usual activites. I hope she recovers from her physical pain, she's not the one that tells her condition until you see it yourself.

I hope your mom gets better. She could sue the manicure place for causing a serious infection or have them pay for medical treatments!

@Letranknight2015 What? She was told not to come back there? Why. It was not her fault. It was the manicurist. Could threaten to sue them? I don't know how lawyers work but some don't take money until you win! Did they reimburse her for her medication? That's wrong.

Hello @infatuatedbby I don't know if she would have the money to even sue the inexperience manicurist. She was told not to come back there, I hope she learned her lesson now.

The pain from the shoulder is the one not yet subsiding? I'm sure they took an x-ray, right? I suppose they made sure there was no break? If it is still painful, then it must still be swollen. Perhaps some ice would help? And rest. But the medication would have helped, probably. As for the foot infection, I hope she is not diabetic? Because wounds in the foot can be very bad for diabetics. Has she had blood work done to make sure her sugar levels are within normal? How old is she anyway?

@Letranknight2015 Ok. The important thing is there were no broken bones. If there is only swelling, hopefully it will go down soon.

Yes, maybe you should bring her back to the doctor . But then if she is still so mobile , then perhaps it's not that painful anymore .

@Letranknight2015 Well you really have to tell her lovingly that she needs to have a check up if it is painful still or it might worsen and spend more on it .

@Letranknight2015 We parents tend to do that! At some point, though, we have to let our kids help us out some.

Oh gosh Letran maybe she should go back to her doctor as she might need antibiotics or something stronger for her pain;we older people tend to put off going to our doctors but its not a good idea whem you are older to do so.

I'm sorry to hear that @Letranknight25. Maybe you should convince your Mom for a check-up. I can relate to how you feel about your Mom's condition. We cannot afford to see our mother suffer even though they'll tell us that they're fine.
