Beats in life.

Ok. The other day I overheard a few people, most in their 40s, discussing about how the music scenario has totally lost all its credibility in the recent years. Apparently, their whole ire was mostly aimed at one genre in particular, EDM. Yeah music has changed, but the reason why EDM is more popular now is entirely because of its relatibility. Every beat is synonymous to a heart beat, every rhythm speaks for itself. We teens want to be heard and that's what we strive for. And I reckon EDM symbolises us, with its high and low beat drops the ups amd downs of life.

@ms1864 Actually music preferences depends upon your personality. So it's been found that most people having an healthier optimistic perspective and an escapist tendency apparently have an affinity to pop, jazz and R&B. Rap is definitely crude, but therein lies its appeal. Give it a try though.

@ms1864 Indian, right? Well lemme add the jazz scene in India is quite good, there's variety and flavour. But unfortunately the jazz hotspots are concentrated mostly in Goa and the North East. There was a very good modern scene in Calcutta, which eventually is fading.
