Bollywood music and movies

As my lot is a platform for bloggers all over the world. I would like to ask you all how many of you have seen Bollywood movies. If not seen have you heard about them? what do you feel? When I asked my friends from US, they say Bollywood songs are awesome.. colorful and actresses are very pretty and seem hardworking.. what's your take on it?

I love watching bollywood movies.. unlike other Indian movies I feel bollywood movies give lot of importance to female lead.. and yes heroines role will have equal importance ... and one more reason behind me watching bollywood movies is.. to learn Hindi.. i have started to talk in Hindi just by watching Hindi movies itself .. :)
Amir is all my all time favorite.. and I never miss Hrithiks movie...

I've grown up watching bollywood movies! Though there is a lot of drama, nothing beats Bollywood movies when it comes to touching hearts... We'll all feel a oneness with the characters, feel the urge to respond to their emotions.. That's why they're so good!

@AshwiniJain I think a lot changed in terms of kind of movies post 2001-2002.
Once the mutiplex culture took over, the new conceps came where there were mass movies and class movies.
I feel even though 90s were good , barring few exceptional movies, most of them were mediocre and had nothing new to offer.
Post 2000, movies like Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Swades, Rang De Basanti, Rock On, 3 Idiots, Munnabhai,Sarkar , Dev D etc have really emerged as different kind of movies that followed a new style of storytelling and screenplay.

@avi256 Kal ho na ho and movies of that era specially. Lately we've got more of melodrama than good stuff... the 90's and before were seriously golden

when I was schooling I done a project on Bollywood movies. I had to watch a few of them and keep pressing repeat button in order to spot and analyze the culture and all...
I would say Bollywood films are interesting..

@desitunes i watch movies every now and then. Average about 2 to 3 a week. So many. I don't have particular actor or actress whom I like. I like to watch sci-fic, horror/suspense, comedy, animation, romance... Oh. Am i naming everything?

I do enjoy watching Bollywood movies, I'm not familiar with all the titles I've seen, but I do remember the movies. There culture is beautiful and the music is more pure and upbeat, its sexy without doing to much, and its colorful. The actresses are more in depth of the movie than the actors. Regular Hollywood movies is always a strong male role, but a few strong female role. Bollywood movies gives the strong female role, in which Hollywood should do more often.

Dear friend, I will recommend you to watch bajirao mastani. Its starring Priyanka chopra and deepika padukone. Priyanka chopra is also leading actress in tv series Quantico. You will love the music, colors, drama and culture. It has it all.

Bollywood movies is an integral part of my life and watch atleast a movie every week.
I can say that movies like Hum aapke hai Koun, DDLJ, Satya, Pardes, Dil se, Sarfarosh and later Lagaan , Gadar etc played deep impact during my growing years to develop extreme interest in Bollywood.
