Whenever I do any activity I note it down in my diary. This is a good havit and brings transformation in our activities. It should be a book of facts. Do not scribble something which is not a fact. Writing Diary is an Art. A person writing Diary should know that it is the relatives and others who make the first reading after the life is over. So he should write only truth and facts. If it is a tool of facts everybody will value the statement in it otherwise they will throw it into a dustbin without any respect. There are a number of Diaries of my father from the year 1970-99 . In the year 1999, he expired. when I feel bored I read each and every sentence of his Diary with devotion and respect. All most all daily events have been noted by him in toto. He noted the activity of each and every day. Do you write Diary everyday?

I had a diary when I was a teenager and quit when I was twenty. Never wanted to after that.

It would be wonderful to read a diary of family members who are no longer with us. Perhaps we should all do this. Someone published a study claiming those doing this were healthier than those who do not

Not anymore either in notebook or online, I think I'm old enough to write another one just like when I was young.

I had a diary when I was in high school and may even still have it. I think keeping track of things daily can help the mind remember for years to come. I have a journal that I put special activities in it that we have all done together. Then when I look at it I will remember some great times.

@shivamani10 Its somewhat very nice as your father`s journal is still accessible by you . I do not maintain any such diary , but I think it`s really a good idea.

It's fascinating looking back on old diaries. I kept a diary every day in my teens and also later on I kept a diary through the first year of my children's lives. Nowadays I have a diary app on my phone and it's handy to keep my jottings there, but I have many other notebooks scattered about with various random thoughts. It's very therapeutic to get those feelings down on paper,
