Introducing Singlish

I am wondering if i should introduce Singlish to mylotters. Would mylotters have a hard time understanding what I am saying? My English is already not so good. If I introduce Singlish and add in how I speak normally in real life, would it become a disaster? For those wondering what the heck is Singlish.... According to wikipedia, "Singlish is the English-based creole or patois spoken colloquially in Singapore. Although English is the lexifier language, Singlish has its unique slang and syntax, which are more pronounced in informal speech. It is usually a mixture of English, Mandarin, Tamil, Malay, and other local dialects like Hokkien, Cantonese or Teochew. It is used in casual contexts between Singaporeans, but is avoided in formal events when certain Singlish phrases may be considered unedifying." Image Credit: Google Images

@XinfulThotz It is TO ME. There are a couple people at myLot who unfortunately like to look for every little thing and report it. I feel bad about it. I mean, we should report blatant abuses, but some of this stuff is. . .nitpicky. I would love to see your Singlish myself.

@CinnamonGrl come to think of it, not so easy to keep explaining each and every Singlish word too..

No wonder sometimes it is hard for me to understand it. My son and I travelled to Singapore twice but we still feel confused when we spoke to the people there

@XinfulThotz Since I think English is more official in Singapore, so I didn't speak in Cantonese or Mandarin

It is also the same thing in some Asian countries. We call it "Taglish" in my country.
