Artists Collaboration: Sir Paul McCartney and …

It is often a wonderful treat when artists collaborate with each other. It is also a form of honor when artists who have established themselves as iconic music legends over a few decades, are asked by young artists, and graciously consent to perform with these artists, adding a “touch of class” to their music videos with their presence. Said all that to say this. Not really a fan of Rihanna or Kanye West. Although they are extremely popular among the masses of music lovers around the world, it must be that I'm just too old to appreciate them. If they aren't whining about how sad love is, then they're angry cause somebody or something pissed them off. However, I do love Sir Paul McCartney. So … being straight forward and brutally honest … the only reason for me listening to and watching this video is just to see him.

I had Paul all over my bedroom wall when I was 16, but even I don't like him enough to waste time on anything with Kanye even remotely associated with it. I think the only person who things "the masses and music lovers of the world" love Kanye is Kanye. He's a legend in his own mind.

The collaboration was a surprise to me. Thought since McCartney was in the video, it might be worth listening to. I was wrong.

My favourite McCartney collaborator was Eric Stewart of 10cc, who worked with him on the Tug of War and Pipes of Peace albums and appeared in the movie Give My Regards to Broad Street before co-writing most of the Press to Play album. He can be seen in many of Paul's videos from that era.

He can be seen in the videos for Take It Away, So Bad and Only Love Remains. McCartney also wrote some good songs with Elvis Costello.

Pretty good song! Did Paul write it?

That's a good question. I was not impressed with the song, so I didn't bother to learn anything else about it. Doesn't seem like Mc Cartney's style though.
