Bad Odor

How can I tell somebody that he has one? I have this friend and we've been friends for years already. We don't have so much activities that involves having to take off our shoes. Few months came, I discovered that he has smelly feet. At first, I just let it pass. Few occurrences came, I had a one-on-one talk with him. I told him about my concern but instead of staying calm and all that, he laughed it out and told me to stop from saying offensive jokes. Right now, I don't bother telling him about it because I know that it will only irritate him.

I don't know why others can't smell themselves. I can smell myself and I tell my friends to go away from me if I smell bad it happens during rainy days or depends on shoe material. I put alum (tawas powder) on my shoes to remove bad odor.

I'll try to sneak out when he's not watching and then I'll put tawas powder in his shoes. I think he knows that he has bad odour. I just don't get the idea why he denies it or to why he refuses to believe me.

@EMbakes Some people are like that, I really don't know why they cannot smell or maybe they can smell it but don't want to accept the truth

I have a friend before with the same situation. There is no need to say anything. I just have him a deodorant as a gift.

Have you taken it to his notice that the room is giving bad smell somewhere.? If not do it and see his reaction. Some people may get hurt easily. If he does not care there is no other alternative but to request some of his friends who are also your friends to make such complaint in his presence. It may solve your problem.

Some of our common friends tend to react whenever they smell his feet, but never really opened up to him about it.

These things are hard to address to someone because you don't want to offend them and at the same time you can't tolerate being around them due to the smells. You can tell them this in a nice way: "Lately I have smell this ordor on you and don't know if it is due to heat outside but a lot of people get that. I think you can try this product or routine it make could help". I don't know if this will help.
