Nick Piecoro reports the news on Saturday the Arizona Diamondbacks will not have the services of right handed pitcher Zack Grienke for the rest of the current baseball season since Chip Hale who manages the team does not want to have his ace pitcher risk any further injury during his final two starts of the 2016 Major League Baseball season. Grienke made his last start of Wednesday in San Diego pitching six innings in the Diamondbacks 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego. Grienke had an MRI exam on his right shoulder that did not show any serious damage to his right shoulder. The Diamondbacks who are in last place in the National League West Division standings have decided to let Grienke heal up from his shoulder injury and be ready to pitch in the 2017 Major League Baseball season.

It doesn't matter as this point. The D-Backs spent a ton on money for last place.
