How important is marriage in the life of a person ? Is it necessary to get married ? is it not a good idea to stay single or in a relationship with a person without getting married ?

why is marriage so important in our society ? why do parents want their children to get married ? why does society put pressure on everyone to get married ? if someone wants to stay unmarried why do people start judging that the person is not capable or he has some problem ? if you stay in a committed relationship without getting married and have kids then the society has a problem ? too many questions lol

I totally understand what you are talking about...imagine being a girl and you will get 10 more problems thrown your way...but one way that i think i am fortunate is that even living in this society i have a supportive family. My parents don't pressure me. If i want to stay single for the rest of my life...it is my choice.

i am glad you have supportive parents even i have a supportive family but relative are the real pain in the @ss . as i am the youngest and the only bachelor left in my family every other neighbourhood aunty and relative is like tum kab kar rahey ho shadi ? and koi ladki pasand hai ya hum dhundhe lol

I don't see it as important, otherwise, my parents would have been reminding me to get married. It's only my relatives and few colleagues who are telling me to get married. I don't see any reason why I should do it. I'm happy being single. Some even thought that I'm a man-hater, which is not.
The problem is on the society.

I don't consider marriage to be important in my life. If I get married that's fine and if I don't that is also fine. I am fine just being in a relationship with my boyfriend for the rest of our lives. To me marriage is just a piece of paper and I don't need that piece of paper to make my relationship feel complete or to tell me that I love someone.
