Greatest contribution of Hoyasalas

The Hoyasalas have ruled the modern city of Mysore. They were all great builders. The most characteristic features of their temples is that they built the dome of the temple in a Star shape. This is not found in any constructions made of the rulers of any other dynasties.
It is this exquisite Star type of dome that is unique with the Hoysala rulers.

@shivamani10 oh thanks for defining the term hoysala . I was not familiar to it and saw in number of police vans.
