I have recently blocked someone...because that person show off and try to act too smart in my discussions. It was really bothering me. So I blocked. After blocking for few days I didnt see any post or comment of that person in myLot. But yesterday, I saw that person's Discussions and come commets on others too. I didnt check wether I can post or commenton that person's posts. But I checked that person's profile and its still indicate as Blocked.... I was wondering, if I have blocked someone, how can I see that person and their activities. In facebook and others we cant see blocked person and their posts or any action. I want to know,,, If I have done any mistake when I was blocking, what is the correct procedure of blocking a person here....and If we still can see the person and their posts after blocking also, whats the use of blocking?

We can see the posts of the member we've blocked. We can also comment on them. But the member can't comment on our posts.

I usually don't block. I just ignore posts from someone that gets on my nerves. I would block if they get abusive.

Hmm... I've never blocked anyone before. (Except certain numbers from calling my phone, but that's a different story. ) Anyway, from what the others have said here, blocking someone apparently just prevents them from being able to respond to your discussions. You're still able to see theirs, respond to theirs, and see their activities on other people's discussions. If that's the case, then you are only doing damage to your earnings, aren't you? Because you prevent them from responding to your discussions. Haha. At least, that's my selfish view on the matter.

@amandajay That the other person is unable to respond to your discussions is a good thing.I think you need not worry.Just move on.

That is how it works on here I believe. You will both see what the other posts and comments you just won't be able to comment.

They don't use a complete block here. It just keeps him off your discussions, that's it.

I've never seriously played with myLot's Block function... But the logic behind it is a lot different from that on FB, I believe. I wonder if the FAQ has been updated in this respect lately, must go check. I looked - not great on blocking, nor is...
MyLot is a social site which rewards you for taking part in discussions. There are members from all over the world and it is a great pl...
