Electronic/Online To-Do List

We had a three-day weekend. As per my experience, work and emails tend to pile up right after a normal weekend (our organization’s operations are 24/7 across the nation). So I am prepared to coming to work and looking at my computer with lots of emails to read and respond to, and a long list of things to do. I am using a software which was proprietary, and it has a system which lists your things to do in whatever aspect/department as long as the submitter used the same platform; it gets queued in my system. Even though I am already expecting a long list, I was shocked that my list was THAT long. And everytime I refresh it, more stuff gets added for me to do. Of course I have to painstakingly open each and everyone of it to check and verify, save what I needed, and finally approve or acknowledge it so it gets off my list. I was so swamped that I have to take my lunch on my desk. It was a bummer because I heard one of my co-workers say that it was glorious out-warm, no strong wind, sun is shining. I totally missed a good day, but I am sure we’ll have more days like this before winter finally hits. Crossing my fingers!
