Nuts and Crunch (I'm Making a Batch For Our Birds)

It's not quite time to do it yet, but seeing that our winters here are supposed to get miserably cold, I thought that this might be even better than plain seeds. I think that I will stock up now so that when the time comes, I will have everything that I need!! 3/4 cup of bacon fat, melted (we don't eat bacon anymore... just might have to buy a pound for the little guys) 1 cup Red River Cereal (used to like it, but can't stand it now) 1 cup stale crushed crackers 1/2 cup dried out raisins 1/4 cup peanut butter handful of dried cranberries if you have them (we had some left over and they seemed to like these too) Mix all of the above and allow to harden in the woodshed overnight and then hang an onion bag in a near by tree.
