Alykhan Ravjiani reports the news on Monday New York Yankees right handed starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka will not make his next start on Monday versus the Toronto Blue Jays due to a mild shoulder strain according to Joe Girardi who is the manager of the American League East team.
Luis Severino will replace Tanaka as the starting pitcher for the Yankees on Monday at Rogers Centre in Toronto Canada when the Toronto Blue Jays host the Yankees.
Tanaka had complained of tightness in his forearm after his last start against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.
The Yankees management is hoping that Tanaka will be able to make his next schedules start against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday if a doctor clears him to pitch again.
