My Poem's Reviews

I know that right now, it seems that I am posting every little thing that is happening to me, while I am pursuing my writing career, and yeah... I'm guilty. Just plain guilty. But it's only because I am excited. I know that once I dive deeper into my newfound career, I won't have the time to write down every little thing that happens. However, I will keep you updated on my progress. Anyway... I wanted to copy and paste, a few critique's (not all) that I have received from my brand new poem, that I entered into a contest yesterday called: "Shall I Dance Again"... I am so excited that my work is being recognized, enjoyed, and appreciated by other season writers, editors, judges, and the like... As a writer, this is a thrilling experience. Here are just a few of the comments I have received: -------------- It is a beautifully composed poem with an apt title. The poem delineates a picture connoting a sense of harmony amidst disharmony and anguish. Having lived life on a plane full of music and joy, the narrator seems to have found all rhythm gone all of a sudden. Unperturbed, the narrator with tremendous conviction wishes to recreate a new melody, and try to dance with a new fashion. Nicely penned, creating fresh images in burning simplicity, and deft brevity in expressions, the precise statement of metaphors adds beauty to the poem. Thank you for sharing your poem with us. It gives us an opportunity to share new experience. I encourage you to continue with your writing. Hitesh C Bhakat -------------- You have written a sad, sad song. It is an effective comment on the progress of man through life with dance the metaphor for the vibrancy of life when young. I enjoyed your careful structure which carries the slowing tempo; unmistakably, in the end, there will be no dance again. Thank you for entering your poem in the September New Members Contest. George Meikle -------------- Enjoyable with nice interaction with the reader. I liked the questions that you asked here, and the piece was nicely expressed, and thought out. Very enjoyable. Thanks for entering. Raven
