My maa- PART TWO

Tomorrow will be the day.. The photoshoot day! I never knew it will be a big deal until now.. Usually I have always been simple. I am not a big fan of make up. I have Indian skin tone and Big eyes to compliment them. I was thinking what to wear for the photoshoot.. I started searching options: option one: Saree NO No it will be too much.. option two: Pink salwar kurta My mom thought I looked pretty in that one.. I personally did not like the dress. But who cares.. I am doing all this for mom, so why not wear the dress.. I thought of applying kajal on eyes and a transparent lip care.. Perfect will it be! I was engrossed in thinking about photoshoot when my Fashionista Maa came in. She almost yelled eagerly. She said: Why are you wasting your time? Come I will apply face pack. It will make your skin glow.. I looked at her and sulked. I said: Maa. Is there a need to do all that? You know I never apply face pack plus I do not have any acne issues. Maa looked at me with a sad face. She started using her tactics. The super melodrama. Maa: Will it harm to apply face pack for once? All girls of your age do this stuff. Look at your friends. All of them regularly go to parlors for grooming and here you are unwilling to apply this simple homemade face pack that I made for you. Me: Okay Maa. Apply the damn face pack. she almost jumped like a baby. I wondered I do not have to do any special things to make her happy. Such small things make her bubbly. Here she was giving me beauty tips for applying face packs and blah blah but the fact was that she is just a bigger version of me. She never went to beauty salons except for plucking eyebrows and occasional hair trimming. Despite that she looked exceptionally beautiful. She applied the face pack which I had to keep for 15-20 mins. She took advantage of the situation as I wasn't supposed to utter a word until the pack is removed. She said: You are going to wear that pink kurta with black dupatta. Black Heels will go on them. I looked at her and nodded a yes. The next day I got ready as per Fashionista's terms and conditions. She looked at me with her big beautiful eyes. I could see she thought I was looking prettier than ever today. Soon photo shoot started. Photographer was giving me instructions before taking every picture. But who cares about the photographer, My mom couldn't control her excitement. She said: Baby! Look Right.. turn back.. smile more.. Photographer looked at her: Madam! Let me do my job. She said with a falling face: I just thought this will look better. I muttered slowly to the angry photographer: Its her photoshoot more than it is mine. Will you take the pictures as she want? Photographer nodded: At your own risk madam! I nodded: Absolutely sir. Soon photo shoot was over. This is how moms are: A cook, beautician, tutor, mentor and also photographer for me..! Whenever I remind her of her melodramatic behavior all she says: Baby I am waiting for the day when your daughter will complain about your melodramas to me..

You have really expressed well. I could feel every emotion you went through, while reading your story. Please do continue what happens next, after all I'm going to experience similar stuff in the recent future. Will get some practice here... But it was a very heartfelt write up, so true that mums play so many roles in our lives but get very little credit for it. I'm very happy for your mom, that her daughter is displaying to the world, how special mom is to her. We don't get many chances to express our love, later in life. We should do it NOW!

Thank you Samreen! Its when I started writing this, I realized I loved her a lot.. A lot more than I can imagine. I feel bad for all the times.. When I was rude to her.. When I hurt her! All moms want their kids to be happy! Its like their sole Job which they do with atmost dedication. Its High time we do the same..

@desitunes yeah, I did write a similar one couple of weeks ago. I know, it feels so good to just write about mom! You know, I don't feel bad when I just sit like a queen and make her being me a glass of water or switch on the fan or light, but later when I do think of it...I feel like I'm such a piece of crap!

@sammyy Its okay. You realizing it later is a big deal. You can make It up to her by helping her with her daily chores some day. You can also plant a kissy on your mumma's cheek and say I LOVE YOU! Sometimes expressing what you feel is necessary..
