Chase Hughes on Tuesday reported the news that Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo has announced that his ace right handed starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg will not likely by making any pitching appearances during the National League Divisional Series (NLDS). Strasburg is currently recovering from a flexor mass strain of his right elbow that has sidelined him since he made his last start on September 7, 2016 versus the Atlanta Braves. The Nationals do not want to have their ace right handed pitcher making anymore pitching starts or relief appearances during the remainder of the current regular season schedule. However if the Nationals do get past their opponent in the National League Divisional Series, they will evaluate the health of Strasburg if he can pitch in the National League Champion Series.

This is looking good for the Dodgers. No Strasburg, their catcher Ramos is out and Harper is ailing.
