There is a popular notion among many who are outsiders of the Kingdom of GOD, and even many insiders have not come to the understanding of the Trinity; GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit. But very briefly, I will show you one scripture which simplifies and makes precise the mystery of the Trinity (Godhead); 'And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.' - 1 Timothy 3 vs 16 {KJV} You see that the whole...

Not every translation reads the same way. The word Trinity is not found in any Bible. 1 Timothy 3:16 New International Version (NIV) 16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

@Jenning But if God was a trinity or a triune God (three in one), why does He not tell us? Why is the word Trinity never mentioned in any translation? Why does Jesus call his Father, the only true God? Why is Jesus praying to his Father? Why is the Holy Spirit not mentioned here? Why is the expression God the Son never mentioned? John 17:3Authorized (King James) Version) 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

@1hopefulman This is intelligent, nevertheless, when Paul understood the Godhead, he couldn't help but all it a mystery as I have shown you above from 1 Timothy 3 vs 16. I will like you to know that JESUS couldn't openly lucidly reveal Himself in HIS time. The times HE attempted it, HE was almost murdered. There was a time HE said, before Abraham I AM, and they said, HE has blasphemed because HE equaled HIMSELF with GOD. Remember, that Name I AM was the name GOD gave Moses to introduce HIM before Pharoah, and here JESUS using that same term form HIMSELF. Then JESUS said this;

The whole idea of JESUS is no new person in the Trinity, but that JESUS was GOD coming in human flesh, the same GOD was justified in the Spirit, amazingly, it was HIS Spirit. Question, how can GOD'S Spirit justify GOD Himself? It's like saying GOD was justified in GOD! Little wonder it's called a mystery right there. You see now how that JESUS is no new person, but GOD coming to men in human flesh, little wonder HE was called Emmanuel, GOD with us. That's why there's no salvation in any other but JESUS; because to say you don't believe in JESUS is to say you don't believe in GOD because HE'S actually the GOD you claim you only believe in as so many religions claim. - Selah

It is such a mystery; could they be separate (the Trinity) from the lone God?

@acelawrites That's actually what I'm explaining. What people call the Trinity, which includes GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit as they say, sounding as though there are 3 GODS isn't true, as there's only one GOD, who dwells bodily in the Person of JESUS CHRIST. If you have more questions on this, please feel free.

Some religions have many Gods. I think I accept that there are many Gods even though I was brought up to believe there was only one God. If all the Gods head religions which send messages of peace and love and respect then I am all for the many God theory.
