Pittsburgh Pirates RHP relief pitcher A J Schugel will not need surgery on his shoulder

Bill Brink reports the news on Thursday Pittsburgh Pirates right handed relief pitcher A J Schugel who has been on the 60 day disabled list since September 23, 2016 with inflammation on his right shoulder. Schugel sought a second opinion from Dr David Altchek to see if he needed surgery to his right shoulder. The good news is that Dr Atlechek does not recommend any surgery to his injured shoulder. Schugel wlll just need some rest and relaxation for the rest of the baseball season until Spring Training 2017 begins where he can resume his baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates who will not be making a playoff appearance this year.
