Shocking death in her sleep

One of the most intelligent politicians in this time has finally passed away from cancer. I don't know how the hell did she got cancer, but it was an on going battle over the last few months while doing the campaign last election. She ran the first time back in 1990's but defeated by a former General who had the support of the outgoing President back then. She previously ran for senate over the last few years and constantly won, but surprising ran for the Presidency, but she didn't win because of her condition. Almost every one knew her deteriorating state during the last debates. I actually didn't believe it when mom ask me about it until I check the news.

Hello @Hatley yes, it seems the treatment didn't really help her at all, except to prolong her life a little bit longer.

I was already telling my hubby that perhaps Meriam Santiago is already so ill because since after the election , i didn't see her anymore . So when this news came out , i wasn't surprised , but was sad . I admire her being fierce , witty and humorous . May she rest in peace .

That's six years from now @quantum2020 I can't help but think if the next line of candidates will be a lot worse than this one.

It's sad to lose someone who made an impact for good in a person's life.
