Mary Kay Cabot reports the news on Thursday Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor who can become a free agent at the end of the 2016 football season wants to stay with his team since his coach Hue Jackson admires him as well.
Jackson worked with Pryor during the 2011 National Football League season when Pryor was a rookie and Jackson was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders for one season.
Despite the Browns having a 0-3 record during the current football season, Pryor feels that Jackson can turn around the team if the management decides to keep him as their head coach.
Pryor's management team has not yet started to make a deal with the Browns management to grant Pryor his wish for a contract extension.
Since Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has entered rehab on Thursday due to substance abuse which could mean his career with the Browns is now over.
So it appears that Pryor will be the lead wide receiver of the Browns in 2016.

I would wait to see how well he performs over the course of many games before handing out a contract extension.

I agree with you on that point since what would happen if Hue gets fired and Terrelle decides not to give his best effort on the field without the guidance of his coach.
