Nowadays we are finding products separately for men and separately for gents. Earlier it was not like that. The people were purchasing only a single product for a house. A shampoo means it was meant for all in the family. A perfume means a perfume bottle which anybody can use in the house. One face cream means it was meant for both gents and ladies in the house. Brother was using it if he likes and so also the sister. But nowadays there is a drastic change. The people are purchasing two products each separately for Gents and the Ladies.
This is causing financial burden on the family. The expenditure is going up enormously. This categorization of products is only a tool for marketing I think. What do you say?

There are still products that are unisex.
those that are categorized are done so that consumers feel more personalised as well as done according to men's or women's needs.
those who can afford and want needs more catered can go for those; the rest can just buy the more general type. it shouldn't become a financial burden.
