Where do you get your inspiration for writing?

Looking up new words in a dictionary is fun, anything around me, people..anything!!

I get it from watching movies usually I come across something and then i'm like woah that's awesome or from the newspaper or scientific research I'm really into that stuff.

As a retired professor of journalism and over 25 experience in journalism itself, I say: look around you! In everything you see or experience is a story. You just have to look one layer deeper than just the surface shows. For example: a mother walking her baby in a pram, is not just a mother walking her baby... look at the mother: is she tired, beat, or glowing, happy, radiating even? Look at the baby: a happy little toddler, or whining al the time? Two stories ready for you! Try it and you will see stories all around you. And stories offer fresh ideas for your blog or column or whatever it is you write...

I always read any reading materials (neswpapers, magazines, labels, announcements, etc.) I could find anywhere and then find some interesting topics in then then synthesize the subject for posting her at myLot. I also use my past experiences and imaginations in genearting fresh discussions. Plus current events happening all over the locality, the country and the whole world could be another basis for topics. Though we might face a writer's block sometimes, just refreshed your mind and take a breath for a while and I am sure ideas will be flowing just like a spring again. Happy writing here at myLot. I just watch all types of movies. I also like to write from my own life. That makes the best story.
