LET'S TALK ON THE CONCEPT OF UNIVERSALISM

In my view, I think there's something wrong with the idea of universalism as it relates with the Gospel, as they go ahead to say that everyone is saved in the world automatically because of the obedience of JESUS to death on the cross. I believe that salvation is only credited to ones account when he takes the decision of confessing the LORD as HIS LORD, and believing with HIS Heart all the LORD did in the cross and in the world. I concur wholeheartedly. It is also not a once saved always saved situation, because believers can lose their salvation. It's in the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit where we find there's no turning back. And that's a whole nother topic.

@just4him So what do you think? What do you understand as Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? This will be a very interesting discussion. Just feel free and let us discuss

@Jenning In a nutshell the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is this: It is the job of the Holy Spirit to lead people to Jesus. When we deny Jesus Christ, rejecting him as Savior and Lord, we are denying the work of the Holy Spirit and that is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

I don't remember ever meeting any that had that belief. Those who believe in "universalism", do they use any scriptures to back up this belief?

@Jenning Yes, the possibility of gaining everlasting life and blessings is open to all but most refuse to do what it takes to actually obtain it. Matthew 7:13-14 (Authorized (King James) Version) 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 (Authorized (King James) Version) 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
