Homecoming Parade

Because Manitou is a small town, each year they hold a homecoming parade. Since the parade starts right in front of our apartment, we watch it every year. This year was fun. I'm 420'd out of my gourd, and was drinking beer as well. Which made for a fun parade. Manitou Avenue is completely shut down, and even the fire department gets involved. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams ride on top of firetrucks. Even the middle school and elementary school march. Tonight is Manitou's homecoming game. Hopefully, they'll win, and hopefully they'll score a lot. Every time they score a touchdown, they shoot off a spectacular green firework, which we can see from our apartment. Good luck, Mustangs. Give us a great fireworks show!

We have those parades here too, every single small town. No I do not go to them since I am not in school anymore but I would watch if I had a front row seat like you do. what is 420`d ?

Being a tourist town, Manitou can definitely afford it.

Good luck to your Mustangs tonight. Small towns are great. I work in Delta which is a small town and live in Gran Junction, which isn't small but not near as big as the town I'm from. I love it. Thinking of going to the apple festival in Cedaredge this weekend. Enjoy the rest of the day.

You too. I root for the team, unless they play my high school.

Sounds like you live in a good spot where all the action is. Hopefully, it is not to noisy at night though.

We were just Talking about how we need to go to a game. My girlfriend has turned into quite the football fan since she met me.
