Harold P. Sloan, the Lovable Giant, played with the children of Gainsville. He enjoyed playing hide and go seek. It wasn't difficult to find Harold. He was as tall as an oak tree.
Everyday Harold would wake up in the morning and do his morning exercise. The town shook a little as Harold did his jumping jacks. He would down a swimming pool full of water. The chef at Miller's Inn would prepare delicious meals for Harold. Harold was the body guard of Gainsville. He kept the ogres and trolls at bay. No one messed around with Harold.
One day, Harold caught a cold. His sneezes were so loud and powerful that they almost took the roofs off a couple homes. "Harold, I'm afraid you must leave town for a couple days until you get over your cold," said Mayor Flint. "Your sneezes might just destroy the very town that you love."
Harold felt very sad, but he knew the Mayor was right. Harold had a place to stay just outside the town. He drank plenty of tea and had gallons of chicken noodle soup.
Meanwhile, the ogres and trolls descended upon the town. They demanded 1000 gold coins in exchange for not destroying the townspeople's homes. Mayor Flint said, "You know that Harold isn't with us. We don't have 1000 gold coins. We are not a wealthy town."
"I will give you one day to come up with 1000 gold coins or we will destroy your stores, your buildings, and your homes," replied Ducan, the chief ogre.
"What shall we do?" cried little Jimmy Tyler. "We need to get Harold."
Mayor Flint agreed. "Go quickly, Jimmy. Bring back Harold. Even if he still has a cold, we need him now."
Jimmy set off on his horse, Camille, and went to tell Harold of the threat.
Harold was sleeping at the time. His snores almost knocked Jimmy off his horse. "What yelled Harold?" when he heard the threat.
"No one shall harm anyone or anything in Gainsville."
Harold took huge steps back to town. He had still a ways to go as Ducan came back to see if his demands were met. "Okay, do you have the 1000 gold coins?"
Mayor Flint nervously said, "No. We need more time."
"More time. More time," laughed Eldor, the wicked Troll. "No more time. We are going to wreck your town. Now all the people better leave their homes. We are going to destroy them first."
"No you are not," boomed Harold. "You better leave before I punish each and everyone of you."
"We're not afraid of you," shouted Ducan.
Well maybe they were or maybe they weren't, but one thing is for sure, the rest of the ogres and trolls ran away after seeing Harold.
"Ah Ducan," said Harold. "You seem to be alone." Harold picked up Ducan and hurled him clear to the next county. Ducan could be heard screaming, "You haven't seen the last of me....."
Everyone shouted, "Hooray for Harold. You saved the day. Harold blushed at the praise. And guess what? His cold vanished immediately after his warm welcome back.
No further harm was ever to come to Gainsville. As for Harold, they built the biggest home that was ever seen in Tuxon County. Harold remained the Lovable Giant forever after.

Awesome story of Harold The Lovable Giant. This is even better than my Wordgirl (?) fan fictions.

@zebra2222 I like happy and challenging stories which beat some fan fictions that are depressing.
